Patty Sheehan is Orlando City Commissioner representing District 4 as well as an accomplished painter. She talked to Marla and Boris about getting into politics, her role as an openly gay public figure, and her response as both an artist and politician to the 2016 Pulse shooting. Live Art: Rafael Cavero

Tenor Rafael Cavero was born in Lima, Peru to a Peruvian-Italian family. He has studied and performed across the globe, starring in operas by Verdi, Mozart, Puccini, and more. In addition to classical repertoire, Cavero has sung in crossover Latin American music with orchestras in Austria, Germany, Italy, Peru, Africa, the Bahamas, and the US, appearing frequently on radio and television. He joined Boris and Marla in May to talk about how he came to opera, how opera is different around the world, and a what he’s really thinking about when he stands on stage.
